Amboise, an elegant “cross backed” dining chair, combines a lightness of style with a solid beech construction, designed for both its aesthetic qualities and sturdiness, to give years of regular comfortable dining.
It is available in our palette of painted colours with a co-ordinating or naturally finished oak seat.
We recommend the use of seat pads to prolong the life of your Amboise dining chairs with painted seats which are available in a choice of two colours Natural and Pebble.
To maintain the appearance of your furniture we recommend regular dusting with a soft cloth. It may occasionally be wiped with a soft cloth very lightly dampened with a mild detergent solution and dried with a lint-free cloth. The table tops are coated with a special protective finish which guards against most incidents including spillages of water and other liquids and provides resistance against ring marks. However, we do recommend that all spillages are removed immediately with an absorbent cloth or paper towel to reduce the risk of staining. Never place hot dishes directly onto wooden or painted surfaces, we strongly recommend the use of tablemats. Prolonged use of hot electrical equipment, such as a laptop, on top of furniture may also cause scorching.
Colour may vary slightly over time due to the natural reaction of the materials to sunlight. Direct sunlight will cause the colour of real wood to change, even if it is painted or lacquered, this will be more readily apparent if the furniture is placed under a window. Please consider the colour change of the product when making further purchases from the same range. If you have an extending table we recommend putting the extension leaves into the table from time to time and leaving it for a day or so if possible. This will ensure the extension leaves and the table top mellow at a similar rate. Timber will always change in colour over time when exposed to sunlight. Hairline cracks are likely to become apparent over time at the joints of painted chairs; they can be easily re-painted using the paint we offer for sale. As your painted furniture will be in regular use, small chips and dents to the paint-work may appear, we are able to supply a Paint Care Kit to repair such damage. This kit contains a colour coded wax stick and paint touch up pen.
